Lit Work: Financial Advisor
If I were a financial advisor for the Younger, I would be very against all the money going to one source. therefore, I would be against the liquor store being made. The most important idea, in my opinion, is to get a new house. I would use 50% of the $10,000 for a good house in a better city. I would spend 25% on Benetha's College Fund, but not let her personally have it, so she wouldn't waste it on hobbies, so Mama would probably hold on to it. the last 25% would be for anything else the family wanted. Food, furnishings, or a vacation for Mama. if not, it could be used to at least contribute to some sort of business, like the liquor store, but it is too risky to spend all the money on.

Computers Hate Me.
So, I got my computer back on Saturday, and got it back to working condition. However, in the time my computer was broken, my Internet decided to stop working. Now I have to fix that, or hire somebody to do it for me. It's really frustrating only getting to check my email and such at school, and any research for homework for anything is impossible. Besides that, the weekend was incredibly uneventful. I got to hang out with friends on Friday, and a bit on Monday (no school, yay!), but beyond that I did absolutely nothing. It was really boring. However I did make Ravioli Alfredo for my family, which was kinda fun. Alfredo sauce is actually really easy to make. The recipe is :
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
Parmesan Cheese
All you need to do is hat up the cream, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a light simmer. Add a bit of , alternatively, cream and cheese to your dish (pasta, ravioli, whatever) until it reaches the consistency you want. You can then add whatever you want: garlic, herbs, anything . Very good, and easy to make, too. Well, that's all for now, so... Whatever.

Lit Work, other stuff
So, as part of this blog project, Me and my class are to post a "show not tell" story we wrote. This kind of writing is fun, but I'm a little inexperienced at it, because most of my lit teachers have expected me to only write analytical essays. I don't think this story is that great, and anybody who has any comments about it, or ways to make it better, is welcome to let me know. Anyway, the subject for our story was "Mysterious Stranger", and this is the short story I wrote.

The Stranger
I was walking along the rainy street, crystal clear drops of water soaking everything in sight. I was completely alone, not another living creature was on the street. I continued my stroll down the slippery sidewalk, when I noticed a man behind me. I couldn't see his face, but I noticed his black baseball cap and light brown trench coat, which seemed like something people walking along the street, would wear. However, as I continued to walk, I sensed something was wrong; I began to walk faster, from a leisurely pace to a fast stroll, wanting to create as much distance between me and this stranger as I could. I turned around again, and saw that he was just as close to me as before, and had been matching my pace. I bit my lip and sped up again. Something about this man seemed wrong, dangerous, and violent. His very presence affected the air around me, like an unseen force affecting my senses. What was once a cool breeze had turned into a cold that chilled me down to my core. And the sweet smell of rain that had been so refreshing just minutes ago now made me feel nauseous. I prayed that somebody would come out of their house, just so I knew there was someone else on this street besides me and my pursuer. I tasted the metallic taste of blood and realized I was still biting my lip. I turned around again, and the man in the black cap seemed even closer this time. I saw a corner up ahead, and as soon as I turned it, I ran as fast as if I were being chased by the angel of death himself.
I ran for what felt like hours, until I got to the front porch of my house. I fumbled with my key as my shaking hands tried to unlock the door. I heard the smooth click of the lock’s release, and I burst through the door, the familiar warmth and smell of home, surrounding me. I locked the door, and, slowly made my way to my room. When I walked in, every muscle in my body froze. There on my bed, was the black baseball cap. I picked up the hat, half expecting it to be a hallucination. I felt along the cap’s dark bill, and noticed a note taped to it. Unfolding the flimsy piece of paper, I laid it out flat on the bed, and read:

It’s too late.
You cannot escape.
Below it was a crudely drawn picture of a dead man on a bed, with a knife sticking out of his chest. I heard footsteps in my room, right behind me. I turned around; already knowing my fate was sealed.

So that's it. I'd love to get help from anyone who's willing, because I really do enjoy writing, but descriptive essays are not my strong point. By the way, kind of off subject, my computer is getting fixed today! Windows got corrupted because of a virus, so my computer couldn't run, and my only access to the Internet was at school, which was pretty inconvenient. Also, when I brought in my computer to the repair place, they were going to charge me $150 just to reinstall Windows, which I can do myself! I do have to pay $50 to get all my files from my hard drive, but I can afford that. It's pretty funny though, because soon after my computer turned useless, my sister got the same virus on her laptop (she may have been the one who got it on mine in the first place). Not a big deal though, because her laptop was really old anyway. So... that's about it. Later, I'll try to add some pictures and stuff, probably some photos of my cats or something like that.Oh, and one ,ore thing. Does anybody know a good way to clear up allergies? Allergy medication always makes me sleepy, but I've been feeling all stuffy for about 4 days. If anyone knows any good ways to clear it up, PLEASE tell me!

First Post!
Hello!
This is my first time creating a blog, and hopefully it will turn out okay. For a first post, I think I should explain some things about myself. Some of my hobbies are cooking and tennis, and I also enjoy travelling, though I don't get to as much as I would like. My current goal is to go to Alaska, but I doubt I will be going anytime soon. This blog is probably going to be used primarily for the Lit class I'm making it for, but I may add more content if I feel like it. Anyway, I'll post more later when I can, but for now, that's all!
